Restoration Church

To be restored is to be formed into the image of Jesus. How does this happen? In this series, we’re focusing on who we’ve been called to be as a Church by recentering Jesus and remembering our call as disciples. This week, we’re focusing on where discipleship begins: by simply being with Jesus. 

Our bodies aren’t the only source of our exhaustion. Our brains can be overwhelmed, overworked, and underappreciated. How can we steward our minds – the way we think, know, and understand – towards wholeness in Christ?

In America, success is always seen as acculating more – and that’s especially true when it comes to our money and our stuff. So how do we understand money and resource through the lens of Jesus? It starts with choosing abundance – and that might not mean what you think.

If love is simply one aspect of God’s personality or one feeling among many that He feels towards us, then it’s only right to question its consistency. But God *is* agape. Because God does not change towards us, neither does His love for us. (Romans 8:38-39)

But what if Paul's words of strength and comfort speak to a far better hope - and a far greater victory - than the battles we're told we have to fight? (Romans 8:31-37)

God is more committed to our growth and wholeness than we are - shaping are ups and downs for our good, and forming us into the image of Jesus. In the scope of successes and failures we face in our spiritual journey, this is a hope that can hold us. (Romans 8:26-30)
