Restoration Church

In Paul's letters, he refers to the Church as God's "holy people." But instead of a holiness that repels, we're called to a holiness that draws people in - as we see in the life of Jesus. (1 Peter 2:9-10)

This is the season that God is transitioning us from being consumers to producers - joining God's work of cultivating the life of Jesus right where we are. (1 Cor. 3:1-19)

Lots of decisions must be made in the days ahead as we navigate our world moving forward. But as both individuals and as a Church, we will ultimately be remembered in these days by one thing: how we love. (1 John 4:7-12)

Hope isn't a feeling you catch. Hope is cultivated through the patient endurance through our suffering - which serves as the fertile ground where God brings us new life. (Romans 5:3-5)

There is a weariness in this time that goes deeper than being tired. Our souls cry for our rest. Psalm 131 calls us to be restored through stillness in the arms of our God.

We are in uncharted territory. During this global crisis, we're developing resilient faith and practices that help us navigate through the days ahead. This week, we learn about the God who speaks peace into chaos (Luke 8:22-25)

There may be tears in the midst of death, but Jesus is walking the road towards resurrection. This Easter, we're called to do the same. (John 11:1-44) 

Jesus is the man of sorrows - the God who suffers with us in our tears and suffers for us on the cross. 

On this Palm Sunday, we look to the psalm sung by the priests in the Temple every Sunday, which looked forward to the comong King of Glory. One Sunday, 2,000 years ago, that King arrived.
